Yes, I'm talking about the original late 80's / early 90's Canadian TV show whose setting is Degrassi High. I started watching Degrassi Junior High during the writer's strike. I was turned onto it because I've seen posts on other sites raving about Degrassi: TNG and I wanted to start at the beginning. At first I thought the acting was horrible and the clothes and hair were ridiculous - and this comes from someone who was the same age as our older characters at the same time the show originally aired. However, as the series progressed, most of the acting got better (except for the adults, go figure!) and I became addicted to this delicious teen soap opera. Once I finished with Degrassi Junior High, I started on Degrassi High and I love it even more.
There are some things that bug the crap out of me and some things that make me laugh that weren't meant to, but at this point I am totally invested in most of the characters. I decided to start my first blog to capture my thoughts as I watch the episodes mostly because some of what I'm watching is so funny/cool/crazy/stupid that I really just wanted to record my observations on the Canadian version of my teenage years. I hope that there are other Degrassi High fans out there who find this blog, and hopefully, enjoy it.
